Beach House Radio Set To Launch A Third Station, Beach House Ibiza On 7th of May

BEACH House Radio is announcing the opening of a new radio station, Beach House Radio Ibiza, which will be launched on Thursday, 7th of May, at 7 pm GMT.

The station which has broadcast from the U.K, Spain, Argentina, and the USA, in its years, is launching the new radio station to complement the group’s existing two stations: Beach House Radio Chill and Beach House Radio Terrazza.

According to company executive, Lee Marriott: “We feel Ibiza rounds off the “Beach House” vibe perfectly. If Chill is sunbathing, Terrazza is a cocktail by the pool then Ibiza is that jazzed up, glittery night out. And at a time when global travel is not possible, we hope to bring the Ibiza feel to living rooms, gardens, and terraces around the world for summer 2020.”

Beach House Radio was created by Lee Marriott in 2006 with a collective effort from friends, artists, and producers.

It started with the Chill station. At that time, chillout music was not readily available on radio and internet radio was at its inception. The station was renowned for its chillout and ambient music from around the globe.

A year later, Lee Marriott and his team launched the Terrazza Station to provide a more upbeat, poolside vibe.

There have never been vocal DJs on the Beach House stations, but this is set to change in the coming months with the launch of the first hour-long vocal DJ shows for all the stations. However, the longevity of this new show will be dependent on its reception by the station’s listeners, a third of whom are from countries where English is not the primary language.

Beach House Radio is still planning further expansions with the addition of a new radio station which, however, will be away from the Beach House Label. This new station will focus on chart and dance music from the last 20 years but will be presented in a variety of mixes rather than single tracks (MixrRadio).

“Since our inception, we have brought you thousands of amazing tracks and we have had loads of fun on our global journeys. We hope our three Beach House stations continue to thrive but more importantly, our listeners keep wanting to listen! We do this 50% for you and 50% for our love of the music,” Lee remarked.
