“The first part of 2020 has taken the Music Industry and forced it to re-examine itself in more ways than could possibly have been imagined and nowhere are these being more keenly felt than at the Grass Roots Level” says Music Industry Consultant and Industry Heavyweight Donald Malter.

Finding new ways to promote itself has always been the challenge for all aspects of the Industry” said David Zucker, CEO Of New York based Internet Streaming Service, MyJamMusic. “And has been said before, it is even harder for more and more acts at the Grass Roots level of the Industry.”

With the addition of SimulTV added to existing MyJam Partners such as Amazon and Apple etc the opportunity for expanding coverage for unsigned and new acts is growing. Now the challenge is to help more and more acts actually successfully monetise their activities.

With the addition of new Internet Service “Pay What You Want” found at https://paywhatyouwant.io/ it is hoped that this will start to be remedied. The concept at “Pay What You Want” is that fans of the Artists and Bands will purchase the material on offer and pay what they “feel” it is worth. This is a concept that has been trialled in the past and has worked out very well for Artists and surprisingly has resulted in net yields higher than those possibly envisaged.

The new service is designed to be up and running by late May 2020 and then it is planned to have a circuit of Live Venues to support this venture by September 2020. If as it is hoped and expected that this venture is successful then it is planned to roll this out on a worldwide basis in 2021 and beyond.

“As has been described elsewhere, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity” said Steve Morgan on behalf of exciting Northern Irish Rockers, Saint Sapphire “and I know the band will be looking forward to grabbing with both hands all the opportunities that come their way as a result of this initiative and any help is most gratefully appreciated.
