‘FLEXpine’, A Brace That Minimizes The Discomfort Of Scoliosis Patients
The FLEXpine brace is an alternative medical device that minimizes the discomfort faced by patients suffering from scoliosis.

FLEXpine Orthosis Lab conducted clinical trials of its FLEXpine brace in collaboration with the orthopedic department at Seoul National University Hospital’s Bundang branch, with a focus on how the brace impacts scoliosis patients.

Based on this joint R&D research conducted at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, the FLEXpine brace is an alternative medical device that minimizes the discomfort faced by patients suffering from scoliosis.

During the clinical trial, patients suffering from cerebral palsy scoliosis, neuromuscular scoliosis scoliosis, and idiopathic scoliosis all showed a significant decrease in Cobb’s angle immediately after wearing the FLEXpine brace. Idiopathic scoliosis patients have higher satisfaction, who are free of activity, as they can help maintain their posture.

The result shows that when patients wore FLEXpine brace for six months, the average Cobb’s angle decreased by over than 14 degrees.

Sue Kang, the founder of FLEXpine, says: “FLEXpine’s basic performance is mostly higher than the existing scoliosis back braces, and plus, the wearability is extremely high and comfortable. As a result, the correction effect is bound to be good.”

FLEXpine braces are individually customized. The patient’s measurements—upper chest, waist, and pelvis—are noted, and the brace is constructed accordingly. The device is made of soft plastic, so the range of motion for the wearer is higher than that offered by traditional back braces.

Patients can purchase FLEXpine brace by submitting an X-ray image and body measurement through the company’s website (www.flexpine.com), or via email ([email protected]).
