Notably, Ms. Lee represented District 16, situated in Montgomery County, and earned the distinction of being the first Asian American elected to the Maryland State Senate. 

Furthermore, she holds the honor of being the first Asian American woman and first Chinese American elected to the Maryland legislature, underscoring her trailblazing spirit and commitment to breaking barriers.
